Why we need a new music streaming app?

There are many music streaming platforms out there, some controlled by the world’s biggest companies, so why would I want to create a new one? I think they have their shortfalls …
As an amateur musician I was looking for artists similar to my fairly unique style i.e. not mainstream but high quality. It was hard. Very hard. The major streaming platforms only promoted mainstream stuff. Even more niche sub-genes were dominated by a couple of industry selected bands. The total lack of search for the small bands meant it was like trying to find a dropped watch in the pacific ocean. From the few morsels, I could see there was a larger body of quality music but it was inaccessible behind mainstream promotion and lots of mediocre noise.
Streaming services are so impersonal. A dumping ground for music with no two way feedback and very little way to interact with your new favourite artist. The closest you can get is trying to find that band on instagram but this separates the music from the people. Bands become a divided double act, on one hand they make music for streaming apps and on the other they are social media influences. With both sides disjointed.
You won’t get discovered on mainstream streaming apps even if you're the next Beethoven. It has become a grueling game of attention seeking in the very competitive attention game of social media apps. Marketability has become more important than music quality. The artists and listeners, both losers. The most talented artists are outshined by mediocre charisma magnets and the listeners miss out on great music.
Making a living as an artist is arguably harder than becoming a millionaire in most fields. The streaming services take most of the pie and give little opportunity for income generation to the artists, especially the upcomers.
Therefore, I decided that, actually, a new music streaming service is needed. One the is a service for the artists and music lovers, not a machine of corporate greed.
